I woke up this morning and decided that today, was going to be a leap of faith.

Welcome to Strictly Positivity

This is my blog where I am going to writing down my thoughts, because I truly enjoy the concept of writing them down. There is something about actuality that is powerful, honest, and genuine. Whether that’s being a man of your word, putting your money where your mouth is, or just completing the task of following through with the things you believe in.

In this case, here we are.

I originally began this project with the idea that I want to make the world a happier place. More positive, more humble, more grateful. While I also wanted the world to feel less distracted, less pulled away from things that they enjoy, and genuinely more focused.

My friend Will always used to warn me of the dangers of “Paralysis by Analysis.” He would regularly remind me that getting wrapped up in the “what-if’s” of life will never lead you to your destination, and that overthinking will always cause you to waste time worrying and fill you with fear, which has stopped countless others right in their tracks during their most perfect moments of inspiration.

So with that being said, I’ve decided to follow his advice and I am beginning. I will continue to write my thoughts down here as I follow the journey of making this project a reality.

The book about writing the book, so to speak.

But in this case, I decided I wanted to write a blog instead, as its format seems more enjoyable and can be accomplished within the timeframe of the 25-minute sand timer in front of me.

With that said, I am going to outline what I consider to be the core beliefs of this project. The Twelve Strictly Positivity Commandments:

  1. Mindfulness - The practice of being present and fully engaged in the moment. This belief teaches us how to embrace the now, fostering clarity and peace in our lives.

  2. Unity & Loyalty - Learning to honor our connections with others, fostering deeper relationships that are rooted in mutual respect, trust, and compassion.

  3. Happiness - Understanding that happiness is not a destination, but a way of being. By focusing on joy, gratitude, and inner peace, we open ourselves to a fulfilling life.

  4. Passion - Embracing our deepest desires and infusing our lives with the energy that comes from pursuing what lights us up.

  5. Creativity - Unlocking the creative force within, recognizing that creativity is not just for artists but for every single person willing to think outside the box.

  6. Friendship - Cultivating authentic relationships that nurture and support us, reminding us that we are not alone in our journey.

  7. Honesty - The power of living with truthfulness, both with ourselves and others, and how this creates freedom and authenticity in all aspects of life.

  8. Gratitude & Humility - Recognizing the beauty in every moment and the blessings that surround us, while humbling ourselves to the power of gratitude.

  9. Focus - Learning to direct our attention with intention, eliminating distractions, and staying committed to our goals and dreams.

  10. Integrity - Living in alignment with our values, ensuring that our actions reflect our core beliefs.

  11. Desire & Discretion - Understanding how to pursue our desires with discernment, maintaining balance, and cultivating wisdom.

  12. Follow Through & Completion - The power of seeing things through to the end, and how completion creates a sense of fulfillment, pride, and empowerment.

If nothing else, take a few minutes today to consider how often you reflect on these principles.

For me, I find them to be the most important ideals that I want to instill in my own children. I think that the more that everyone in the world considered these concepts, the better off we will be as a collective, happy planet.

Welcome to Strictly Positivity. The best version of yourself is waiting.

With Love,

Chris
